Research

My research themes cover intersectionality, psychology, cognition, disability, and performing arts infrastructure.

I am currently working on research which utilises narcissistic models to analyse the relationship to being special in performance with a focus on intersectionality and within this disability. This work will be developed through a CRICA funded PhD at the University of Roehampton.

In research I have worked on projects for the CF:SLR Cohort (with Fuel and the Greater London Authority), Arts Council England, The Global Improvisation Initiative, and with the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Topics I have covered are: Interviews with Disabled Workers in the Arts, Disability, Class, Pay and Training Hub Reports (with the CF:SLR Cohort), The Problem of White Feminism in Improv: Is Open Space Really Open?, A Study of the Learning and Performance Impact of Narcissistic States in Acting , The Marginalisation of Actors in Training (with Dr Jessica Hartley and Daisy Marsden).
